It’s a unique blend of pure Tung oil, resin and brightening pigment. Originally formulated to protect all interior woodwork. Still made by hand according to the original formula from the Hawkins family since 1916.

  • Suitable for dense wood such as Oak, Pine,
  • Penetrates naturally and deeply into the wood
  • Micro-porous, fills pores
  • Used as a basic coat, ensures the wood does not amber
  • Warm natural appearance, free from added sheen and color
  • Will not crack, flake, blister or peel

Consumption:

Approx. 70 m2 per gallon (3.8 l) per coat, depending on the type of wood.
Recommended coats:

Residential and domestic floors, 1 coat for colouring. Floors should always be protected with 1 or 2 coats of our Clear Seal, Hardwax Oilor water based lacquer.

Application :

The product should be applied at room temperature (minimum 16C)
and at normal air humidity (55 to 75 %). Wait minimum 8 hours in between coats.

Appearance:

Gives oak a warm natural appearance. Brightens light types of wood such as beech, maple and pine.
Virtually retains the natural colour of the wood by preventing yellowing.
